“At the core of Eastern Blooms is a deep commitment to community. Designed for families, international residents, locals, and even students, the project embraces diversity, aiming to foster a sense of shared identity across cultures and generations. The three distinct housing types reflect this variety, catering to different living needs while promoting social integration and respect for personal space.
The amenities at Eastern Blooms are carefully considered to enrich the everyday lives of its residents. A gym, library, and children’s play area provide spaces for wellness, learning, and family bonding. On the ground floor, flexible workshop spaces offer opportunities for creativity, skill-building, and local enterprise. Crowning the development is an accessible rooftop greenhouse a green haven for urban gardening, communal learning, and sustainable living practices.
Eastern Blooms seeks to blur the line between private dwelling and shared experience. It envisions a future where people from all walks of life can live harmoniously, building a resilient, nurturing community together. The project not only responds to housing needs but also creates a vibrant, inclusive ecosystem that encourages collaboration, belonging, and well-being.

Through Eastern Blooms, I aim to re-imagine urban living transforming housing into a platform for growth, connection, and environmental mindfulness. Eastern Blooms is a community accommodation project situated in the serene landscape of Festival Gardens, designed for Studio Project Home. My approach to this project stems from a core belief that architecture should act as a social framework not just solving practical needs, but nurturing connection, dignity, and collective growth. Rooted in my academic exploration of inclusive design, Eastern Blooms brings together 125 housing units with shared spaces that respond to the diverse needs of individuals and families from locals and international newcomers to students. The project includes three housing typologies that support varied lifestyles while encouraging interaction and mutual support among residents.
