Woven Ground is a craft-led housing proposal, within a mixed-use masterplan that brings the production of natural dyes, fibres and fabrics to Festival Gardens, Liverpool.
Weaving homes through a rigid structural loom, residents live within a framework of shared balconies and communal creative spaces to form a living tapestry of their collective making. The scheme connects to a craft community centre at its public ground floor, that utilises the natural production of the site. Community connection is centred around the learning and sharing of traditional skills.
