Designing “Wandering Walkways” in Accra became a personal exploration of tropical modernism and Ghanaian heritage. I carefully crafted elevated paths and multi-level structures that invite visitors to wander among lush plants and discover hidden perspectives. My favourite aspect is how the staggered walkways reveal botanical layers at different heights — sparking curiosity, supporting wildlife, and celebrating the interplay of culture, climate, and architecture. This interplay of levels, botanics and environmental strategies is intended to enhance the tourism in Jamestown while incorporating green energy strategies that would directly benefit the neighbourhood.
