Climatic Treehouses
An urban threshold between architecture and nature, Grid Grove forms the new base for Aburi Botanical Gardens in Accra. Elevated on stilts to preserve the terrain and maximise shade, the design consists of a rhythmic grid of buildings with sloped roofs that funnel the cooling sea breeze for natural ventilation. The result is a modular, climate-responsive space that blends environmental sensitivity with thoughtful design.
