Our project responds to the rigidity of the current housing model and proposes a level of flexibility, adaptability and social interaction that currently doesn’t exist as a standardised model in the UK
Aims of the Project
Diversify + Densify
Introduce a variety of housing typologies to increase the efficiency of space within the housing units, as denser neighbourhoods foster a vibrant sense of community.
Reorganise the landscape Hierarchy
Give surface priority to pedestrian movement and residents wellbeing over vehicle movement.
Redefine the ‘Plot’
Form new thresholds surrounding the house, such as the front and back gardens, to restructure the land-use of the site.
