“I’m designing a mental wellness centre for everyday people, not those facing singular trauma, but anyone overwhelmed by the subtle pressures of life. Entry begins through a woodland maze, allowing visitors to shed external identities and enter a contemplative state slowly. The architecture is composed of fragmented blocks dispersed across the trees, connected by walking paths and garden corridors, creating an environment that is open yet introspective.

Inside, the building is divided into active and quiet zones. The quiet zone features spaces for meditation, one-on-one therapy, and silent reading—spaces for privacy, stillness, and emotional release. The active zone includes a theatre for role-play therapy, group dialogue rooms, and a virtual community space, designed to help individuals explore identity and connection. The theatre doubles as a public performance space at night, making healing and cultural life part of the same continuum.”

It is in the darkness that we forget who we are in order to reconnect with ourselves.
Transition – Light reboots, restores senses
There is no sense of direction lost here, only the guidance of breath and light.
Triage – active choice, respecting individual rhythms
You can participate or withdraw, it’s a journey that is not forced upon you.
The End – Return to the World and Leave with Tenderness
You’re not being said goodbye, you’re just being gently put down to move on with your life.”
