“This project transforms a fragmented urban site in Morecambe into a connective public hub that bridges the city’s everyday life with its future tourism potential. Anchored by a reimagined elevated walkway, conceived as an architectural element rather than pure infrastructure, the design brings together previously disconnected programs such as market stalls, art studios, and communal lounges.
The massing responds directly to local design codes and the surrounding urban fabric. Simple cubic volumes are arranged to maintain rhythm and openness while integrating sensitively with adjacent buildings. A clear spatial spine organizes movement both vertically and horizontally, shaping sequences of views, transitions, and social activities. The public edge is animated by a large stair-plaza and a partially open bar beneath, forming a layered and accessible threshold.

At its core, the project explores how architectural form and spatial experience can shape perception, encourage participation, and build a sense of belonging. It is a place not defined merely by function, but by movement, experience, and human connection.”
