Reach is a dynamic and inclusive youth zone designed using a glulam structural system and clad in timber. The building is organized around a series of different height volumes with extensive glazing, promoting transparency and connectivity between interior activities and the surrounding landscape. The use of glulam not only allows for large open spans ideal for flexible programming—such as climbing walls, collaborative spaces, and activity zones—but also enhances the architectural rhythm through its modular grid system.
The plans reveal a thoughtful spatial organization, with a central circulation spine and interconnected spaces that support a variety of youth-focused functions. These include learning areas, breakout rooms, creative zones, and recreational hubs, all seamlessly integrated into the structure. Externally, the landscape plays an equally important role in fostering engagement and interaction. The site features curved pathways, planted terraces, and amphitheater-like gathering spaces. This project has been developed with hand drawings.
